I hope you’re starting to feel better today. Keep pluggin’ and I know that you’ll be feeling better soon! We’re thinking of you here in Gunnison and hoping that you’ll be feeling good again.
I’m going to try to get back into coaching soccer and playing in the fall/winter league here…next time we get together lets get the ball out and show your dad how it’s done. If I remember, he was pretty good a drooling but not dribbling.
To all the Whitings, we miss you and wish we were there to help, but remember that we’re with you in spirit and sending prayers for all of you. Thanks for the updates!
Love, Uncle Rob

Ode to the Duodeed
We plead for your “duodeed”.
O, what does it need?
Please let food get through
So you can feed.
Your cells need nutrition
So you can grow like a weed.
Laying in the hospital bed—
Very soon you’ll be freed.
We’re trying to think of something
Where we can use the word “peed”.
‘Cause everything has to rhyme
with your “duodeed”.
Most importantly, though,
If this you do read,
God is hearing all our prayers
We know he takes the lead.
-Love, Stan, Gwen and Natalie Soper

I hope you are feeling a little better today. Sorry yesterday was so tough. You are a strong young guy and I know you will continue to get stronger and start feeling better each day. I send a big smile and hug to you! Hang in there!
I saw your cousin Logan on Sunday in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He was with a friend at the hot springs. I think he was quite suprised to see me! We missed seeing Taylor, Scott and Sue. I guess they all stayed home and he was spending time with his friend.
I hope today was brighter for you and all your family.
Love, Aunt Svea

Woof! It looks like me in that hospital bed. Is that my twin brother from another mother?
Kev, mom talked to Katie today. They’re going to do girly stuff on Thursday. I wish you were here. Katie said you’re drinking GATORADE.
Mom’s new saying, she thinks she’s really down when she says this is, “Stop drinking the HATERADE and start sippin’ the ACT RIGHT juice.”
Gawd, she’s embarrassing.
The burrs are out. After our walk mom had to pick some out of me and I let her know I wasn’t happy.
See you soon.

We were out of town for the last week, and I just checked in. Wow, what a handsome hospital patient you make–seriously! And I’ll bet the hospital robes look fantastic on you.
We’re all so glad to hear that your system is starting to “catch on.” We’ve been thinking about you and the family has been praying for you and your family. You’ve become a household word in our home.
Hope you got the package we sent. The kids picked out all their favorite treats for you, and you can keep them tucked under your pillow until you’re ready to eat all of them. As for the video games–we thought you’d like a little retro distraction, when you’re feeling stronger, that is. I used to play Pacman over and over when I was pregnant with the twins and too big to move. My high score is 56,000–when you beat it, give me a call! And the book is the sequel to The Lightning Thief–all the boys in eighth grade loved that book.
We’re thinking about you and your family. Can’t wait to hear more good news.
